Chairman Li Yong was invited to Hanoi, Vietnam to attend “China-Vietnam Cooperation Forum for Promoting Economic” and Delivered a Keynote Speech at the Opening Ceremony

OnDecember 20, Boao Forum for Asia co-hosted “China-Vietnam Cooperation Forum forPromoting Economic” with relevant government agencies of China and Vietnam inHanoi, capital of Vietnam. Chairman Li Yong was invited to attend and deliver akeynote speech at the opening ceremony. Nearly 500 government officials andentrepreneurs from both countries gathered together to explore win-win businessopportunities.

Vietnamese Foreign Minister Li Huaizhong said that Vietnam-Chinatrade and investment cooperation has shown outstanding performance inrecent years and enjoys great potential. Business circles of the two countriesare of great significance to promote Vietnam-China friendship and win-wincooperation. Vietnam is ready to create favorable conditions for Chinesecompanies to invest and operate steadily in Vietnam in the long run. We believethat this Forum will open up new opportunities and build new Bridges, bringtangible benefits to companies of the two countries and help continuouslydeepen the development of Vietnam-China relations.

Li Baodong, former vice Foreign Minister of Chinaand current Secretary-General of Boao Forum for Asia,said in his speech that China-Vietnam relations have maintained a soundmomentum of development in recent years, with the scale of bilateral trade and investmentcontinuously increasing and the trade structure becoming more optimized. Boao Forum for Asia is ready to help China and Vietnamspeed up the docking of development strategies, strengthen connectivity, tradeand productivity cooperation within the framework of “One Belt And One Road”and “Two Corridors and One Ring”, and contribute to the steady and long-termdevelopment of China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership inthe new era.

“China-Vietnam Cooperation Forumfor Promoting Economic” is co-hosted by Boao Forum for Asia, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry, People’sCommittee of Hanoi, Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ChineseForeign Ministry and Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, and co-organized by VietnameseChamber of commerce in China.

Inaddition, on December 21, at the special invitation of Ruan Dezhong, Chairmanof People’s Committee of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, Chairman Li Yong had aface-to-face discussion with the leaders of the relevant commission and bureausof Hanoi, led by Ruan Dezhong himself, in the auditorium of the government, andhad a good communication on the idea of further investment and development ofthe group in Hanoi. After the meeting, Chairman Ruan, on behalf of the MunicipalParty Committee and the Municipal Government, awarded Chairman Li Yong with thebadge of “the highest honorary citizen of Hanoi” and personally wore it for ChairmanLi Yong. At the same time, he also sent a special meaningful gift to Chairman LiYong as a souvenir.

Duringthe period of Forum, Chairman Li Yong also cordially talked with Vietnamese Ministerof Industry and Trade Chen Junying, Vietnamese Foreign Minister Li Huaizhong, ChairmanRuan Dezhong of People’s Committee of Hanoi and other senior leaders of theVietnamese government and took group photos to mark the occasion.
