On July 18, 2017, China’s large-scale overseas investment and trade professional service platform, namely International Investment and Trade Online Conference , which was jointly sponsored by the Institute of Foreign Investment Cooperation and Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce as well as the South-south Cooperation Promotion Association, was launched at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. Mr. Li Yong, chairman of the board and also the vice president of the South-South Cooperation Association, was invited to attend and delivered speech. Lv Xinhua, President of South-South Cooperation Promotion Association, Wu Dawei, former Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ministry, Wei Jianguo, Vice Chairman of China International Economic and Exchange Center and Shen Guofang, Vice Chairman of China International Research Foundation also attended. Some foreign ambassadors and representatives of business promotion agencies were also invited to attend the on-line ceremony.

Lv Xinhua, President of the South-south Cooperation Promotion Association, pointed out in his speech that the International Investment and Trade Network is a professional platform for Chinese enterprises to invest in foreign cooperation, but also a professional website for the country to promote “Belt and Road”construction service. International investment and trade network includes such sectors as infrastructure construction, overseas investment, offshore parks, production capacity cooperation, bulk equipment procurement etc. The website originates to release information in time and enables smooth communication between supply and demand sides. It not only assures that cooperation projects can be docked smoothly but also supplies customized services for the enterprises. Such services include project search, feasibility study, financing, insurance, legal and other all-around solutions.

Li Yong, chairman of the board said in his speech that the South-south Cooperation Association launched the construction of International Investment and Trade Network, matches the nation’s promotion of the "Belt and Road" strategy and international production capacity cooperation. It also creatively promotes Chinese enterprises to a new round of higher level of "Come out and Bring in”. Thus it helps overseas cooperation projects to be launched safely in other countries.

International Trade and Investment Network have an unique advantage of high integration of "online platform + line team", focusing on promoting the exchange of three types of institutions. The first category is for the various investment and cooperation institutions of the countries with investment need. The second category is for the Chinese enterprises with foreign investment and cooperation intention. In addition, Chairman Li Yong also attended the investment and trade promotion seminar to Cameroon, C?te d'Ivoire, Congo (cloth) held by the South-South Cooperation Association in the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse Building 5. The three countries' ambassadors gave a detailed introduction on the domestic economic policies and investment environment of the countries. They welcomed Chinese enterprises to visit and dock locally. Then the three counties’ ambassadors conducted interactive exchanges on new energy, agricultural processing, financial services and other areas with members of the South-south Cooperation Association.
