Chairman Li Yong was invited to attend the 2017 China China Economic and Social Forum and delivered a speech

The 2017 China Economic and Social Forum were held in Shanghai on September 21 by the China Economic and Social Council of the CPPCC and the Shanghai Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference. The first Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, the chairman of the China Economic and Social Council, Du Qinlin attended and made a keynote speech. Chairman Liyong was also invited to attend and delivered speech.

Du Qinglin emphasized the need to thoroughly implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, adhere to the correct direction of the ideal, and promote the fruit of the "Belt and Road" international cooperation summit. He also mentioned that we need to adhere to the demand-oriented and goal-oriented combination and focus on interoperability and production capacity of the main line, highlight key areas and projects. In addition, he promoted to improve the policy coordination and docking mechanism, optimize the cultural exchange mechanism, improve the financial security system, risk prevention and control system. He called for to tell “Belt and Road” story, spread the voice of China initiatively, and enhance the people along the "Belt and Road”. Du Qinglin asked the Chinese Economic and Social Council to play a better role in the advantages of in-depth study of "Belt and Road" construction law. In terms of the planning convergence, policy communication, mechanism design and other aspects of active government advices, achievements should be made to celebrate the Party's victory in the 19th session of the National Congress of the CPC.

Chairman Li Yong delivered a speech entitled "Energy Cooperation under the Strategy". Energy Cooperation is the first and foremost thing in constructing “One Belt and Road”, which is of great significance. At present, along the "One Road and Belt” energy cooperation has achieve important breakthroughs in trade, investment and related industries but the cooperation potential is not fully released.  The supply security system has not yet been established, trade and investment economic benefits have yet been improved, and with the local community’s communication ability has not been perfected either. Thus, to develop "One Belt and Road" energy cooperation in the overall strategy, taking the economic interests of energy projects and strategic interests into account, base the strategic considerations on the economically viable basis. We need also actively participate in international and regional energy management and build a new energy cooperation mechanism.
