2022-05-07

The Shunde West Extension Section of Guangzhou Metro Line 7, jointly constructed by Jinba Building Materials, was officially open to traffic at 2:00 p.m. on May 1, 2022. It is the first subway line connecting Shunde District of Foshan City and Panyu District of Guangzhou City operated by Guangzhou Metro, and the second subway line connecting Guangzhou and Foshan without transfer in Dawan District. The subway line has 13.447km and 8 underground stations in total.

Jinba GKS metal ceiling series products are used for all station halls, platforms, and passageway entrances and exits of West Extension Section of Metro Line 7, with a total area of about 60,000 square meters. Beijiao Park Station and Chencun Station are featured stations, which are decorated with the theme of the regional culture on Lingnan Water Village. The Chencun Station adopts pink arc pendant aluminum ceiling and pink petal-style perforated stainless steel ceiling combined with LED lights to create a beautiful orchid shape. Beijiao Park Station, on the other hand, integrates the concept of “water” and “boat” with wooden arc  oar-style aluminum ceiling and white arc gradually perforated aluminum veneer ceiling to show the traditional race culture of dragon boat. The other six stations are standard stations, which adopt customized aluminum alloy square tubes and perforated plates, showing a simple and modern decoration style.

The successful opening of the West Extension Section of Line 7 will provide a new way of travel for residents in Shunde and Panyu, enhance the “linkage between two cities”, achieve “one hour access” between the two major urban areas, effectively promote the exchange of talents, finance, science and technology, industry, culture and other urban elements in Guangzhou and Foshan, and facilitate the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It plays a significant and profound role for Guangzhou and Foshan to make joint efforts to create the “Guangzhou-Foshan Center”.
