Chairman Li Yong Attends the Launching Ceremony of Heilongjiang CHINAYONG Shared Energy Storage Project And Deliver A Welcome Speech

On the morning of October 18th, 2023, the grand launch ceremony was held for the second largest China national project Entire Vanadium Liquid Flow Shared Energy Storage Power Station, invested by CHINAYONG Group, in Acheng District of Harbin City. This is also the first large-scale shared energy storage demonstration project in Heilongjiang Province.

There are main provincial and municipal government leaders are present at this grand launching ceremony: Mr. Zhang Anshun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the CPC and Secretary-General of the Harbin Municipal Committee, Mr. Yang Tingshuang, a member of the CPC Group and Deputy Director and Chief-Secretary of the Standing Committee of Heilongjiang Provincial People’s Congress, Mr. Jiang Chuanhai, a member and Executive Vice Mayor of the Standing Committee of Harbin Municipal Government, Mr. Zhao Gang, a member and vice president of the CPC Group of the Harbin Political Consultative Conference. And Mr. Lu Haiwei, CEO and Party Secretary-General of the Party Committee of State Grid of Heilongjiang Provincial Power Co., Ltd., is invited to attend the ceremony. Deputy Secretary-General of the Harbin Municipal Committee and the dual role of Mayor of Harbin Municipal Government, Mr. Zhang Qixiang attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Mr. Li Yong, a member of the Standing Committee of the Heilongjiang Provincial Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CHINAYONG Investment Group, delivered a welcoming speech at the ceremony.

Chairman Mr. Li Yong pointed out in the welcoming speech that the instructions made by China President Xi Jinping shall be kept firmly in mind when Xi made investigations in Heilongjiang Province from September 6th to 8th of this year. The innovation of energy science and technologies shall be pushed forward greatly to accelerate the new-energy construction of Heilongjiang and Northeast Region of China, actively contributing to the implementation of National Energy Safety Strategy.

On the forum of Northeast China Rejuvenation five years earlier, President Xi Jinping strengthened the maintenance of “Safety of National Defending System, Food Safety, Ecology Safety, Energy Safety, Industry Safety ”. Safety is the cornerstone of a major country. The mission positioning of Northeast China is closely related to the overall safety situation of the country with Energy Safety being an important role of it.

In recent years, CHINAYONG Group has closely followed the overall situation of national energy security and deeply cultivated in the field of new energy, making progress sharply and having achieved remarkable results, meanwhile, also closely following the development of  new energy cutting-edge technologies. The upcoming 50MW/200MWh entire vanadium flow battery energy storage power station will be installed in Acheng District of Harbin City, which is the first large-scale shared energy storage demonstration project invested by CHINAYONG Group in Heilongjiang Province with ranking second among entire vanadium flow shared energy storage projects in the whole nation. This project can effectively suppress the regional peak and valley difference and compensate for the shortage of power grid in peak regulation, and alleviate the bottleneck of regulating resources that restricts the development of new energy as well. Another highlight of this project is its ability to effectively utilize the rich vanadium ore resources in Heilongjiang Province, driving the development of mining industry and industrialization in Heilongjiang and making the project have a good industrial driving effect and investment multiplier effect.

In order to avoid issues such as low utilization, poor reliability, and "built without use" in traditional new energy distribution and storage, Entire Vanadium Flow Shared Energy Storage Project of CHINAYONG Group strictly controls the product quality and performance of the energy storage power station and pays attention to the availability and guarantee throughout the whole life cycle, fully considering the cold winter climate characteristics of the northern region. The world's leading technology of entire vanadium flow battery energy storage has been selected with multiple times of charging and discharging and a long service life. With higher safety and reliability, it can balance multiple application scenarios such as new energy green power consumption and the guarantee of supplying grid safety with more value being created.

The CHINAYONG-Acheng 50MW/200MWh shared energy storage power station is an environmentally friendly project that can increase the utilization rate of green electricity and reduce the consumption of coal in this region. It can improve the local environment to a certain extent, reducing harmful gas emissions and having good environmental benefits. The project has a 25-year operation period and a total static investment of 750 million yuan. When it reaches its capacity, it can consume 150 million kilowatt hours of green electricity annually with an annual output value of nearly 100 million yuan. The construction of this project will also drive the development of the entire vanadium flow battery industry chain and the introduction of corresponding talents, pushing forward the synchronous development of upstream industries such as energy storage media, proton exchange membranes, and electrode processing manufacturers.
