President Li Yong Was Invited to Attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2021

The Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2021 was held in Boao, Hainan Province,from April 18 to 21. It is the world’s first large-scale international conference with mainly offline meetings this year.As a platinum member of the forum, President Li Yong was invited to attend the annual conference and participate in important events such as the welcome dinner for diplomatic envoys and the Sino-US Entrepreneur Dialogue.According to preliminarystatistics, more than 2,600 representatives from over 60 countries and regions and more than 1,200 journalists from 160 media organizations of 18 countries and regions attended the annual conference, with more than 4,000 persons registering this year.Chairman Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech entitled“Pulling Together Through Adversity and Toward a Shared Future for All” viavideo.Chairman Xi Jinping pointed out thatsince the establishment of the Boao Forum for Asia 20 years ago, it has borne witness to the extraordinary journeyof China, of Asia and of the world, and has exerted a significant influence inboosting development in Asia and beyond.

During the important events of the annual conference, President Li Yong also had cordial talks with Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Region Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Chief Executive of Macau Special Region He Yicheng, AIIB President JinLiqun, and Secretary General of Boao Forum for Asia Li Baodong and other old friends and took photos with them.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Boao Forum for Asia. Before the opening of the annual conference, President Li Yong accepted an exclusive interview arranged by the forum. He talked about his experience of participating in theforum and the growth and changes of the Boao Forum over the years. He looked forward to the development prospects of the global economy in the post-epidemicera and explained the future investment direction and development plan of Chinayong Group. The exclusive interview was prominently launched on the official website of the forum and won wide acclaim from all walks of life attending the conference.
