Chairman Li Yong was invited to Hanoi, Vietnam to attend “China-Vietnam Cooperation Forum for Promoting Economic” and Delivered a Keynote Speech at the Opening Ceremony

On December 20, Boao Forum for Asia co-hosted “China-Vietnam Cooperation Forum for Promoting Economic” with relevant government agencies of China and Vietnam in Hanoi, capital of Vietnam. Chairman Li Yong was invited to attend and deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. Nearly 500 government officials and entrepreneurs from both countries gathered together to explore win-win business opportunities.

Vietnamese Foreign Minister Li Huaizhong said that Vietnam-China trade and investment cooperation has shown outstanding performance in recent years and enjoys great potential. Business circles of the two countries are of great significance to promote Vietnam-China friendship and win-win cooperation. Vietnam is ready to create favorable conditions for Chinese companies to invest and operate steadily in Vietnam in the long run. We believe that this Forum will open up new opportunities and build new Bridges, bring tangible benefits to companies of the two countries and help continuously deepen the development of Vietnam-China relations.

     Li Baodong, former vice Foreign Minister of China and current Secretary-General of Boao Forum for Asia, said in his speech that China-Vietnam relations have maintained a sound momentum of development in recent years, with the scale of bilateral trade and investment continuously increasing and the trade structure becoming more optimized. Boao Forum for Asia is ready to help China and Vietnam speed up the docking of development strategies, strengthen connectivity, trade and productivity cooperation within the framework of “One Belt And One Road” and “Two Corridors and One Ring”, and contribute to the steady and long-term development of China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new era.

  “China-Vietnam Cooperation Forum for Promoting Economic” is co-hosted by Boao Forum for Asia, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry, People’s Committee of Hanoi, Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chinese Foreign Ministry and Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, and co-organized by Vietnamese Chamber of commerce in China.

In addition, on December 21, at the special invitation of Ruan Dezhong, Chairman of People’s Committee of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, Chairman Li Yong had a face-to-face discussion with the leaders of the relevant commission and bureaus of Hanoi, led by Ruan Dezhong himself, in the auditorium of the government, and had a good communication on the idea of further investment and development of the group in Hanoi. After the meeting, Chairman Ruan, on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, awarded Chairman Li Yong with the badge of “the highest honorary citizen of Hanoi” and personally wore it for Chairman Li Yong. At the same time, he also sent a special meaningful gift to Chairman Li Yong as a souvenir.

During the period of Forum, Chairman Li Yong also cordially talked with Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Chen Junying, Vietnamese Foreign Minister Li Huaizhong, Chairman Ruan Dezhong of People’s Committee of Hanoi and other senior leaders of the Vietnamese government and took group photos to mark the occasion.
